Allan Connolly – CEO & President
Allan Connolly, an operations and technology executive with broad global leadership experience, is Chief Executive Officer and President of Aclara Technologies LLC.
Connolly formerly was Chief Operating Officer of Culligan, a world leader in the water treatment industry. Prior to his tenure at Culligan, where he spent seven years in leadership positions of increasing responsibility, he held executive and management roles with GE Energy and GE Global Research.
A native of Australia, Connolly holds a Doctorate in engineering from the Australian National University, as well as Master of Science and Bachelor of Engineering degrees from the University of Wollongong, in Australia.
Michael Garcia – Senior Vice President, Human Resources & Organizational Effectiveness
Michael Garcia, a Human Resources leader, brings in-depth operational and strategic experience developed in a range of industries. Michael is Vice President, Human Resources & Organization Effectiveness for Aclara.
Before joining Aclara, he was Vice President, Human Resources for SSM Health Care, where he led the Human Resources and Clinical Education team for four hospitals in the St. Louis market, the St. Louis Physician Organization and the Behavioral Medicine Service Line. SSM is a nonprofit, mission based, health care system.
Michael holds Master and Bachelor degrees from the University of Missouri – Columbia.
Dave Hakala – Senior Vice President, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance
Dave has over 35 years of experience in the electronics industry in manufacturing operations, product and process development, and product assurance.
Before joining Aclara he was Director of Operations for ITW Rippey, supplying critical cleaning materials to the major manufacturers in the semiconductor wafer fabrication and hard disk drive media industries. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and a Doctorate in Physical Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York.
Ryne Van Gorp – Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer, IT & Legal
Ryne Van Gorp is Chief Financial Officer of Aclara. Ryne has a strong history of developing strategic direction and creating high performing teams across business functions. His experience and credentials is a great match for what Aclara needs to meet the opportunities and challenges going forward.
Before joining Aclara, Ryne was the Lead Principal and CFO since 2010 with East Hampton Properties, LLC. In addition to his depth and breadth of financial competencies, he has expertise in Strategy, IT, General Management, Sales and Marketing and Operations for multi-location and global businesses. He currently serves as Board Director of M.U.S.T. Ministries and Brightpoint for Children.
He has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from San Jose State University.
Rick Riccardi – Senior Vice President, Major Projects
Richard Riccardi is the Executive Vice President, Major Projects, for Aclara. He is an experienced senior executive in the AMI industry with more than 15 years managing the development, sale and marketing of advanced metering systems. He was president of Hexagram, one of the early leaders in development of fixed network AMI systems, prior to its acquisition by ESCO Technologies. Since then, Rick has held several executive positions with Aclara, including strategic account management, marketing, and technology.
Rick holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Case Western Reserve University and a Master of Business from Cleveland State University. He is married with two children.
Greg Wilson – Senior Vice President, Engineering and Technology
Greg Wilson is Senior Vice President of Engineering and Technology for Aclara. Greg has an extensive background in product development and technology, with a track record of success in creating efficiencies, optimizing profitability, and producing quality consumer and technology products for established, turnaround, and joint venture enterprises.
Most recently, Greg was Vice President at Harris Corporation, RF Communications, where he worked to align product strategy with overarching business objectives. He was also a Director at Skyworks Solutions, Inc., where he was responsible for defining product vision and market strategy to align with current research and consumer trends, and guide product design and development throughout full life cycle.
Greg holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Dominican University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University.
Stephen Smith – Senior Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Engagement
As the General Manager of the Consumer Engagement (CE) business unit, Stephen is responsible for the ongoing strategic leadership and management of our business that focuses on software products for the CE market. Stephen will lead the sales, marketing, business development, product management, services and support, account management and delivery functions for CE.
Before joining Aclara, Stephen worked as Vice President of Sales for EcoFactor, and prior to that spent 20 years with Honeywell Utility Solutions. Stephen earned his master’s degree in business administration from Northeastern University, and his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the University of New Hampshire.
Bob Florence – Senior Vice President, Marketing, Customer & Sales Support
Bob comes to Aclara with an extensive background leading B2B commercial teams globally and will play a significant role in developing and driving Aclara’s strategy. He leads all of the company’s marketing functions, including Business Development, Product Management, and Marketing Communications. Bob also manages Customer Support, Technical and Educational Support and Sales Support.
Most recently, he was Executive Vice President at Davis-Standard LLC, where he led the Domestic and Global Sales and Marketing teams. Other positions include Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Solazyme, responsible for developing and commercializing renewable fuels and specialty chemicals. He worked at Apple Computer, where he led the supply base engineering team in Cupertino, Calif., and Asia. Bob was also an executive at GE with multiple global assignments in the United States, Mexico and China.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
